People in Need

Our foundation works with community groups to provide relief and opportunity to people in need. Since we are not a large foundation, we know our impact is limited; however, we target those groups who truly need help to make ends meet and those whom the larger nonprofits often overlook.

Two of our founding trustees are breast cancer survivors, and therefore we are extremely sensitive to families fighting disease and the unanticipated financial and emotional hardships that fight may impose. As mothers, we also know how hard it is to provide for your children, protect your loved ones from unfair treatment, maintain a career or lead your household.

We have a broad mission to help people in need in order to accommodate new challenges that pop up and impact our daily lives. We meet this mission by funding nonprofit organizations who do not judge others by age, ethnicity, gender identification, income level, race, religious affiliation or sexual orientation.

Bringing Resources to Aid Women’s Shelters (BRAWS)

Sometimes the most basic necessities are impossible to afford. That’s what we learned when we funded BRAWS , in northern Virginia. We were honored to partner with them in their newly launched “Dignity in School” program which will help distribute menstrual products free of charge in Manassas Park City Schools. These efforts are part of a nationwide “Menstrual Equity” movement to remove the shame from young women, and help keep them in school by providing easy access to these crucial supplies. BRAWS’ mission is to empower and bring dignity to women and girls by providing undergarments and menstrual supplies to low income and homeless communities.
